Emma Josephine’s lyrics are brought to life with the melodies of an old soul and the nostalgia of growing up. Her style captures the lyrical power of Brandi Carlile, the folk flair of Emmylou Harris, and the rich storytelling of Nanci Griffith. 

Emma Josephine debuted as a festival musician at the 32nd Annual Rock Bend Folk Festival. She was described by the Co-Coordinator, Ron Arsenault, as “an engaging, talented, intelligent emerging singer songwriter” and her set as “a major success.” Since that performance in 2023, Emma Josephine has performed at RibFest (Mankato, MN) and participated on a singer/songwriter panel at the Minnesota Original Music Festival. Emma Josephine has opened for a variety of artists including Mary Jane Alm, Minnesota Music Award’s Best Female Vocalist, and indie folk band, The Cactus Blossoms.
